A200 - Remind me please.

On the A2 one pushes the central button of the controller to get a let cross (which I always use for spot focus) and then use the the arrow keys to move the cross to wherever one wants. Does it differ from that in the A200?

Hi, I'm trying to remember how to get the flexi focus point activated on my old A200, I've tried so many combinations of buttons that I am now unsure if there was such a thing!
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks, Michael.

Michael,

I don't have an A200 but according to p.46 of the manual, press the center button of the controller to turn the active focus frame blue and then turn the control dial to choose between wide focus, spot AF and flex focus.

Once you have the blue crosshair use the left, right, up and down arrow keys to move it around in the frame. Then press the center button again to turn the crosshair white and activate it.

To return it quickly to the center position, just hold down the Shift button (on the left side of the camera) and press the center button, the cursor will jump back to the center of the frame.

Many thanks everyone. I was pressing the centre button but didn't notice the colour change from white to blue.

My wife's little Olympus seized up just before a holiday so I suggested she try the A200. I've been showing her the wonderful stuff she can do with it :). She's quite taken to it I'm pleased to say!

Regards, Michael
