Does anyone use the Domke Quick-Shot Sling Bag? Very little info about the interior or what it holds at the Domke website or at B&H. Very few reviews, too. One reviewer warned about its lack of padding.

What gear do you want to put in? I have the GF-1, flash and four lenses and it all fits in a lowepro slingshot. I might get an idea of what will work knowing what you have. I ask only because I just went through the same and also use the Domke J5-XC that works among Think Tank for certain things.

That said, I have had to buy and return bags before since it is subjective. I needed a backpack and had to buy both the Tenba and a Think Tank version and kept the Think Tank. I use Domke inserts from one bag in another. I use Kata bags for certain things. So the dimension may work but the inserts don't and I found myself buying a bag just to get the inserts that work...

Good question about the contents. So far all I have is an EP-2 and 17mm pancake. But I have bought the 9-18 (it's in the States, I'm in Europe) and plan to use the adapter for my 35 macro. Am also using the FL20 flash. I have been considering the all purpose 14-150. (I had been thinking about the 40-200 but heard it was slow.) I'm hoping the AF will be accurate enough with the adapter to use my 14-45 from time to time, too. And I will eventually be adding a 2nd body.

When it comes to a sling bag I can tell you the Lowepro slingshot 200 dimensions fits the following:

GF-1 with 14-45 or 20 1.7 attached. The Metz 48 AF-1 (have to put head down to fit, 7-14, panasonic 45-200. Room for extra batteries, memory cards and even the Expo-disk to do a custom white balance.

I like Domke no question and use the J5-XC large satchel that fits the same. I had to use the insert from the Domke ballistic F6 little bit smaller to make it work. That satchel fits one less lens or flash in place that the Lowepro slingshot 200.

Other than that the Domke F6 ballistic not canvas version works. Domke uses different inserts in the canvas & ballistic bags of the same model. The ballistic version has velcro inside the 4 compartment insert and the other is stitched making it impossible to adjust. By the time you buy just the inserts it made sense to just by another bag and take the insides out to use in another bag like the Think Tank retrospective 10 or the J5-XC.

Last the medium J 5XB Domke fits the GF-1 with lens attached the 7-14 and the 20 1.7.

The way to approach this IMO is like you a shooting a Leica rangefinder and go from there.

I'll work on a picture of the set up and post.

I don't have a Domke sling, merely an F10 shoulder bag, which works well for a m4/3rd camera, 20/1,7 Oly 14-42 and 45-200.

While I like the tactile feel of the canvas, I discovered recently it is a magnet for grass clippings on the ground, and nuisance to brush off. So, a nylon/ballistic material is a bit more appealing to me.

Think Tank bags look to be high quality, and very expensive in my opinion.

I just bought a Domke Quick-Shot Medium Sling Bag through Amazon.
The camera faces down through the top, a SLR with med to long zoom.

There is a top zipper for quick take out, and a front-zipper which opens the entire bag.

Inside is a removable wall velcro divider, which protects the center camera lens and allow a lens to be put on either side of it. The inside & divider material is a soft padded cotton. The bag has a low side profile about 2 1/2 inches with no camera in it.

I got the medium bag to hold 1 DSLR with med zoom with lens hood facing forward. (canon 60D & 15-85 zoom). Plenty of protection for one camera and lens. Micro Four Thirds GH1 might fit in the small version of the bag.

Thanks for this! Great description of the bag!

I am leaving for India the end of this month and considering this bag. Would it fit a canon 7D and a 70-200 F4 with the lens attached to the body not seperate.

I'm also interested in this bag and searched everywhere for some reviews and found only this review (with some pictures) on net... http://www.cambags.com/bag-type/slingbags-menu/misc-shoulder-bags/item/451-domke-quick-shot-medium-sling.html

I also wonder why some manufacturers are so lazy with providing some additional data alongside with their products...
