For the past few weeks now it is taking a long time to load (it always was slow but this is rediculous now).

BUT thats not the big problem.....most of the time when it does load it is displaying incorrectly with a white background and very basic looking text. Things are all over the place as well, Not where they should be.
It is NOT working properly at all.

And before anyone starts blaming me......

It is like this on ALL computers that I try to access it, including my new (very fast) windows 7 machine, my old XP machine, All computers that I have tried at work, My Nokia smart phone and my wifes iphone. So it is NOT something that I have done :-)

I do live in NZ so perhaps it is somethingin the network over here. Sometimes it loads OK...but not very often.

ALL OTHER SITES that I try work perfectly..

This is what it looked like when I started this thread

BUT

As I post this it is working properly again...

This site had major problems some time ago. Cursor flying to subject, slow loading, in fact I was unable to post or read anything for over a year. Most issues have been resolved, but not all. This is still the biggest photo forum on the net, so bear with it.

I glanced at a few of the posts that were having trouble, and they were New Zealand folks. Could there be some weird server problem happening over there?

I've had zero problems in Houston.

I've had problems in Michigan, but did not have problems when I visited my sister in Pennsylvania last week (using my Win XP laptop). I've discovered I can "fix" my problem (for a while) by Rebooting my iMac, but I'm not certain if I understand why. It may be a software conflict in RAM, but I don't know which software components might be conflicting. My Win XP laptop takes too long to reboot, so I avoid using it for this site around the house on WiFi.

DPR is the ONLY Internet website that causes this problem for me.

I hear you. Just though it was strange that New Zealand had more issues than others.

Given up on the whole "regain my original ID". Seems DPR don't give a flying fucher

Same problem in Canada with my Mac, over the last few days. Never happened before. Cured by logging out of the site and logging back in.

Well right at the moment it is working OK, but its the first time it has this week.

On ALL computers I have access to.... AND it is the ONLY site I ever have issues with

Just about ready to give up on it :-(

I'd like to point out that I too am experiencing slow to load problems (here in OZ),

(XP home, Vodaphone 3G+). But I have also seen this incorrect white display before now and then.

But what I still have here is the "expand image" problem; whenever I click in an image to expand it (not with those hosted on dpr galleries), a certain part on the left side of the image doesn´t show anymore.

Try ping and traceroute test of the URL from your location, any long delayed hops will be seen. I see no problems here in Russia but we are closer to the servers so have fewer hops.

The screen shot suggests that the connection times out before the CCS(cascading style sheet) file was downloaded. A refresh ought to reload it OK.

With my new 51mb/s connection I can see when a site, rather than my own connection is slow.

And make sure you got your e-mail right, otherwise we can't get back to you to solve this problem.

I couldn't get DPR at work for about a month; got the same screen as you did. Today it's working OK.

I have never had this problem at home, which is relatively near where I work.
