Hey, Jim. It was a beautiful winter day wasn't it? I was struggling with a manual lens in the same garden.

Yours are much sharper and colourful.

It was really nice being out and about. It was pretty windy though - so a manual lens must have been really hard to handle.
The wind was OK and the nice high ISO on the K-x came in handy. The exposure issue was also fine after some trial and error, and corrected with a +2 compensation most of the time. Manual focusing on moving objects using a long lens proved a real pain, esp for old eyes. I ended up either missing the focus (first shot) or the moment when I tried to focus more precisely (second shot) :( Not good shots, but just to show I was there.

Your wide lens, 8-16mm I assume, looks like a nice one to have from your images. How do you like it when the sun is in the frame?

Long time no talk - hows the photography going?
Fine thank you. I went to Europe/UK for 3 weeks just over a month ago and it was a very enjoyable trip. Met up with Richard Day and Steve (*isteve) and we all had a great time, lots of photos. If you're interested I've menaged to get most of them post processed and on line here:

Thanks, Cam. Much appreciated.
