x drive,question,help please

i just recieved my x-drive today.after loading everything in and setting up,i find that all of the files on my cf card are sent to the hard drive. i run scripts in my camera (dc 290) . can anyone tell me how to get the x drive to download only pics. the other question, is there a way to get all of the pic files into one folder,everytime i insert another cf card, the x drive creates another folder(i use four 32mb cf cards and the folders are really too much to deal with. any input would be great,thanks

X-drive is not customisable. It works only by copying all files and folders. It creates a folder for each download.

What I do is move the files from the folders in X-drive to 1 folder on my notebook and then delete the folders in X-drive. Are you thinking of keeping the folders in X-drive after transfering to pc/notebook?

no, i want to send the pics to my g drive (cd burner) for storage. then at a later date i will pull up the original pics and modify them and print. i just don't want to burn files that i don't need to cd. the pics that i capture are approx. 6.1 mb each (uncompressed) i can only fit four on one 32mb card. i will be capturing about 200-250 pics per day then downloading to cd.

You can reorganise your folders in X-Drive when you connect to computer to burn pictures, and create your own folders Burnt Pics 1, Burnt Pics 2 etc, or date them and put them together which ever way you like.

Just as you would do with your PC's Hard Drive.

There is no other way to organise folders - but creating new folders, rename them and copy and paste to folder destination of your choice.

The folders will stay inctact and new download of Cards will create new folders, that you can arrange again and again.

is there any other way of downloading or selecting only tiff. files from the x drive and sending to another drive for storage?
