TL350 Test Shots and Video

Thanks for sharing, real nice pictures and vids. I really like your backyard and enjoyed looking at your site. Do you own/rent a helicopter for those pictures?

Thanks. The majority of those photos were done with RC planes, quadcopters, and a mast. I since have migrated to renting R22's, and using RC planes for spec and small personal jobs.

These tl350 shots are nothing special at all of course, but while I was waiting for it to arrive I found myself scouring the internet for any photo or video I could find.

My main intention with this camera is for the pocketable video and maybe a little RC aerials.

Shots look pretty good.
Do not think they are S90 good, but the S90 doesn't have the video.
Looks like a great little camera.
I think it would be more aptly priced at about $250.

I would agree with all that.. There are some quirky things about how it processes the images as has been noted in another thread, but maybe they will fix with a firmware update. And if the stars line up, maybe they'll add the 60fps. My conspiracy theory here is that they rushed this to market due to the new Panasonic's and others being announced. The images do clean up nice though with little effort.

Haha well that was pretty obvious, didn't see the other pics labled the cities. Somehow i was able to tell by just your backyard, that was awesome. Anywho thanks for those awesome pics. Nice video clips to, cant wait for my camera to arrive. Whats your overall opinion on it? If you can what rating would you give it from 1-10?

What is falling in the videos taken outdoors in the evening?

Also I am wondering if you are seeing occasional flares from incandescent bulbs or the yellow artifacts that one user posted.

thanks for sharing your photos and videos, good job!

but - what is the strange noise i'm hearing in every fullHD video of yours? it's soud like some machine runing or something. hope it's not the sound of camera while recording.

I thought the 720P mode used 60FPS, is the Samsung spec wrong?

mike12431,, My overall opinion so far is an 8. It's a very nice camera. the build I would say is excellent, the feature are way more than most other cameras and the interface is very easy to navigate. I almost have it all down. there's just a few odd things I have to get used to.

Marty Too,, that's rain. I know, it's very rare in AZ to see it, but we got lucky yesterday and had some. I have seen no flares at all yet, but imagine I will at some point with such a wide angle lens with the right conditions. I did see the yellow artifacts, but I believe I had one of the picture settings on at the time. I was very odd and obvious that the software in the camera caused it.

selfade,, I believe the noise is from the rain along with the pond and most probably my air conditioner. You do hear the lens go in and out while recording, but it is no big deal at all, and is only there if it's not recording any sound, or if it very quite..

I will try to find better subjects today to match the features of the camera. I'm not going to say this is the best thing since sliced bread because it's most certainly not, but it's not bad. The video is giving it the edge though, not the picture quality.

Yes, they are wrong.. Bummer right??

thanks for reply. that's fine, with that video.

and what exactly are those "few odd things" you've got to get used to?

It's hard to explain specifically, but some features work in one "mode" but not in another. If you download the manual, they are identified buy little notes with a blue square and an image of a pencil inside.
One example would be, photos cannot be captured in any other mode but 1080p.
or
You cannot use the timer in the Panorama mode and the Panorama
Action mode.

There's really so many of them that only practice will get me to learn them. Not really a negative to me just a little odd.

Wow unbelievable that they are claiming 60fps and I guess it's only a 30fps output? Thanks for the heads-up.

thanks for sharing! i don't like how unstable the colors are in the video, especially when it turns very yellowish. is there something you can do against it?

I love your pond with your Koi's and turtles, so do they get along?

Question on panoramic:

1. what is the largest resolution you can take?

2. Can you use any zoom, or does the camera lock the camera to wide angle?

3. Are there modes for vertical pano?

4. There is something strange going on with this pano, the left side is all blurry, and than suddenly it's sharp again, I wonder if the focus changes as you pan, see below:

Thanks.

No 60fps in any mode. It jumps from 30 to 240fps. The choices are 1000, 480, 240 or 30fps in any mode but the resolution is automatically reduced by the speed chosen.

Thanks for sharing your photos, videos from TL350.

Doesn't it have 60fps video in any resolution at all? I thought it has 60fps in the VGA resolution 640X480 at least.
