Can anybody give me advice on maintenance of this uw housing ?

I know how to handle the main blue O-ring but what about the other buttons ? Also they have sealed entries into the housing. How should this be taken care of ?

All other tips and advice are more then welcome, I bought the MPK-P9 and P9 a few weeks ago.
Also tips on underwatersettings for the P9 are very welcome.

As far as I know, you don't need to touch the button's sealing. (This is just from reading the user's manual). Only thing is to wash the whole housing while still closed using plenty of fresh water after each dive, and if possible soak for 30 minutes in fresh water. Then let dry and take the camera out.

  • For the first dive, don't put the camera inside the housing. Put only a tissue paper inside and test-dive to see that there are no leaks.

I also have mine for not much longer a few weeks, but here are some tips:
  • Turn off the AF iluminator.
  • Set up the flash level to low. If shooting below 3 meters (10 feet), turn the flash mode to always on.
  • Use automatic white balance - but be prepared for some retouching to get the red's back.
  • Use multi area AF, and multi-segment (not spot) metering
