Must not tell my wife, or dont know how to get around this one as i have several camera systems but, i like the images of the NX10 it seems a good little camera and the Amoled screen seems great. I need to talk around the wife to buy for christmas, any ideas would be great, sod it just might save up if not and buy it myself.

Personal experience and views of this camera, greatly appreciated good or bad regards Alan.

What other system cameras do you have?

Does it matter, im interested in the NX10 that being my question :D

Hi Alan,

I haven't figured out my own wife yet so I doubt I'll come up with a good strategy for you on that front! However, occasionally I find that loading up the dishwasher for her after dinner works wonders!!!

The NX10 on the other hand is a consistent delight. I've owned several DSLRs over the years, including several models from Olympus, Sony & Nikon, & I loved them all but I'm finding that I'm enjoying using the NX10 more & I have it with me more often than any of my previous cameras. The small size makes it easier to bring along &, despite my none-too-small hands, I find it a great handling camera. I know there are cameras out there with better specs but this is doing everything I want & I really enjoy shooting with it &, most importantly, the results are good. Right now I've only got the kit lens & rather than add the 2nd longer zoom, I think I'll just replace the kit lens with the new 18-200mm to eliminate even more baggage. I'll probably add the 30mm to it at some point but that's not going to be too big a load to carry either.

I'm also happily looking forward to seeing what might happen next with this NX series. Is there an NX20 or maybe even an NX30 cooking? Who knows but I'll have no problem spending money on NX lenses while I wait & anticipate!

One last thing on all those cameras you've got lying around. I had similar problems, in terms of having too many cameras. It seemed pretty tough to justify getting another one until I started selling them on the internet. I may have exaggerated my success in selling but a slight exaggeration of the monies received make it easier to justify the splurge on a new kit!!! You may not have to wait 'til Christmas.

Paul.

I enjoyed reading what you have to say, regarding wife we dont have a Dish Washer so i will have to do LOL :D anyway i think when i do get it i will enjoy it there are good deals on the two lens kit, that pancake lens look very good indeed.

Its to decide what to sell oh well, need to work on the wife first her Birthday is coming up soon, then i strike with the speed of a striking Rattlesnake LOL, all the best Alan.

Alan, I may be wrong, but I seem to recall seeing your name on a lot of posts in the Fuji Forum, using bridge cameras.

that being the case, you will find the NX10 a delight. It presently has 3 lenses, so if you took all three out at the same time, themn your 'carry around' would be heavier than you are used to, but not by much.

I often just choose one lens and go out for the day with it, The 30mm is a cracker and it gives you a lot of portability for a lot of high quality results - it will be the quality of the images that will impress you the most.

I sold my DSLR for my NX and i would say that the only area that I now lose out on are the very fast action shots, such as birds in flight - though I never really got anything that was a real keeper anyway.

resolution is good, things like hair, eyelashes etc in portraits are present and for many general shots, there is a warmth to the pictures, similar to those produced by Nikon.

yes your name rings a bell to, thankyou for your personal view of the camera what i have seen in the NX10 are very good images, especially the Pancake lens cracking.
i aim to purchase this around christmas time when i will have the money.

I do have several systems already, and my wife gives me a hard time saying i already have enough cameras, guess im a camera whore as BenHherman ounce said.

Regards Alan.

Good point, her Birthdays is just around the corner time to suck up i think :D
If one of your other system cams is an DSLR then couldn't you hide it and then pretend that you shrunk it in the wash when you pull out the smaller clean NX10?

You could just do what all good blokes would do in your position and buy her an NX10 for her birthday. :)
