Seeing as how it looks like half-day closing on the Ricoh Forum today, the last post was 8 hours ago, maybe that should be closed all day :), to show that some members are still alive, here are a few colour shots with the GRD III.

All shot in RAW and processed in Photoshop CS3. Pic #1 had a bit of saturation added.

The next two come from a trip yesterday to the Farmers Market in Jacksonville.

Hope these shots break the afternoon boredom and kick start the Ricoh Forum back into action.

I was noticing that too. Thanks!

Hey Calvin,

I hope you don't mind if I add some of my colour too... :)

Think about photography books and classes before any kind of gear....without knowledge, no camera is useful....

This thread seems to have given us all food for thought. ;)

The mangoes were $1 each for small ones and $1.30 for the bigger ones, Carlos.

How does that compare with the going rate in Brazil?

Since my wife if Braslian I think I can answer a bit, I think if you go to a good place with inexpensive fruit ours is cheaper, but there are so many more fruits that you have never seen here in this country, my favorite from Brasil and I will spell it wrong is cochi. It is just wonderful. One trip I will meet my friend Carlos I hope to drink a Choops (again, spelling) together

that's because Ricoh owners are out shooting! Because with results like the ones you posted how could you sit inside on the computer when there is a whole world out there to be photographed! nice shots, the color is great, I have to do more color stuff.

Thanks.

With a temperature of 93 degrees F and a heat index of 101 degrees F, sitting in front of the computer makes sense to me. This is one Englishman who doesn't go out in the midday sun. :)

Acutally I did. After 30 minutes walking around armed with the GRD III, I got back to the house dripping with sweat but I did manage to get a couple of pleasing shots.

Calvin the price is about the same...5 reais (2,70 usd) for three mangoes (but it has to be at the end of the weekly fresh food market of your neighborhood)....and i must confess...man i love them....

i must confess that after i read you post i was like the yellow head scratching (again my own head) trying to figure out what you meant by cochi...then it came to my mind......caqui!!!!!!!! yes you are right, one of my favorites also....and we will drink um (one) or varios (various) choopinhos ( like we say around here) and take some nice pictures with the Ricohs of course (smile)...best for you both...BTW the "choops" is very well written....
