Fuji Finepix F80EXR - What are the best settings for Concerts/Gigs?

Thanks for your comments and guidance it's much appreciated!

What softeware do you use for post production?

The real trouble I have is removing noise from my images, iPhoto on the Mac makes the image to pastel looking when you run the noise reduction, and PS CS3 doesn't seem to really touch noise IMO.

Also what do you mean by putting a curve in the image?

I load every image (RAW or jpeg) into ACR6 and then transfer to PS CS5.

I also use some aftermarket actions and filters that I have purchased:
  • Neat Image noise reduction (Pro + plugin)
  • Topaz Denoise 4 noise reduction (slower but even better)
  • Topaz Adjust pseudo HDR look plugin
  • PTLens lens distortion remover

Try setting your ACR 4 setting to load jpegs. Then, when in Bridge, double clicking on an image will load into ACR first. Download the latest version of ACR (4.7 or something like that.)

If that does not work (i.e. I don't remember if that version of ACR can do it) consider spending the $200 to upgrade to PS CS5 ... the NR alone in ACR6 is worth the upgrade.
