Tea break time, believe me, you will love this...:D

Same story when I have my F707...... :D

Maybe you could take some trips all over the world, and make a gallery of pictures for all impressive scenes....:D

GH
............. I envy you your nighttime cityscapes. My own city is
really drab I can’t even attempt photos and our main landmark –
Shandon – which in my youth afforded fantastic once in a while
sunsets against an illuminated old church clock tower – sadly is
totally neglected and not illuminated any more.

I remember just a few years ago when I got my E10 first it was the
first place I put on show and was very proud if it - and the
camera and the then “noise control”.

I was hoping our spin as European City of culture in two year would
have something to make a lasting difference but the newly appointed
€90,000 a year CEO did not even take up his position after spending
three day in the city.

So I really appreciate this picture – thanks much.

Thanks for the wonderful pano. I enjoy threads with nice photographs in them. I don't feel all imbedded photos belong only in the galleries forum as some people have suggested in other threads over the years. Your photo really was a nice change to the text driven conformity that many forums have become. Thank you!

Also, you showcase one of the true strengths of the 707 and why I will not give mine up even with a Kodak 14n coming. I belive a lot of the enhanced color in your picture is also due to the 707. It has a way of bringing surreality to cityscapes at night.
Again, you did a great job. Keep it up.
Best,
Robert

Thank you...just try to give some different tone here.... time for tea break after arguring the technical and functional specifications.

You know that. The F707 has produced saturated colors and give such vival effect. The lens is also very sharp with very good noise control for long exposure.

True, I just try and stay away from the USM as much as I can (which is not easy...hahahha), when I scan my slides :)
The extra lights you find are actually strong light projected to
some partials in the air, this is an interesting effect not created
by PS, it seems making the entire scene more brighter and
spectacular (for my eyes)... :D

I agreed this is a bit more taste of "digital"...I did apply a bit
"over" USM in order to get the background "dots" light in sharpness
too... this would also give some more deeper sign.

For my case, I recently also do film photography, I would say the
film has a real complete different taste, but once it was scanned
and digitalized for web publishing, it turns to with "digital" sign
again...:D

GH
But I do notice some photoshopping...the colors of the lights just
jump out at you...a bit too artificial in my eyes, but then again
its a preference, and also the screen image is often differnet from
the printed one.

I have also noticed a trend developing lately with the DSLR
photographers, in which photoshop has been used a bit more than
actually need be. I simply miss the feel of film, which is somewhat
softer.
Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the film look.

Needless to say, nice job!

I just wished people in general would go a tad easier on the
photohop enhancements.

Cheers

wow, excellent, where is exactly the spot you took them? is it from the peak?

I'm living in Hong Kong and would like to try from the same spot you did. I just bought 717.

this is what I did with my P&S sony p71. I didn't have the tripod handy, so the camera sat on the pavement.

Hi... thanks, you may take it from the peak, there is a platform for tourist, and you can see the complete view.

By the way, it is an interesting angle...:D
