Haven't had much chance to shoot lately (well except the new roof, but that's kinda boring :) )

but I still find myself drawn to this pix & I don't get it. Wife loves it also.

... Very nice. Amazing how much the first looks the same as Thailand. Love that last one. The image really conveys the fun they were having.
It is true Dave that the the situation in Thailand is very similar to that of Indonesia. Even the Thai looks very like the Indonesian, especially the Javanish. Thanks for your nice comment

HS10 arrived back and have had a call from Fuji UK to answer my questions about the camera! What they are saying is..... the noise generated by the camera is normal as the lens has to reset from park like a printer each time it is changed from playback to shoot. They also said that their own office camera does exactly the same although they had not noticed until I had pointed out the noise. So if yours is doing the same don't worry!
PS if you go down the DSLR route I can maybe save you some time and money......

Thank you.
just curious why you left the water so blue? Correcting the water back to neutral warms it all up rather nicely ...
I see the alternating image...that's quite a difference, a little too much for my taste though.

As I recall I tried a little more yellow as a variation but decided on the current "bluer water" version because it was more dramatic looking to my eye.

S1OOfs...more fun than a bag of glass!

I'm still in Germany this was taken in Mannheim. the loaded boats are often very close to the water line but as it has no rough seas on a river Rhein there is no danger of sinking sometimes when the captain is drunk they run against the pillon of a bridge lol :-)
