I'm a little confused what this button is used for during photo taking. I know it re-center auto-focus region thing, but that's as much as I know. They could've reused this button for custom white balance or something else that's more useful? Whatcha think?

As far as I know, it's also used to reset exposure compensation.

I thought it might be usefully used to set the user's preferred base camera settings and then be used to reset the camera to these defaults. Ie: use a menu item to set the current camera settings as 'default' then one press and no matter what you have twiddled oin the meantime the camera would reset itself to a known position.

I am always trying ...

I haven't checked on the NX10, but on my old pentax SLR the green button reset the exposure to what the light meter thought was correct when shooting in manual - I used to use it all the time - I'll try it when I get home

wow, that is a great idea. I justed tested it, nope the NX10 doesn't behave that way in manual mode.

Currently, the green button does not do ANYTHING when it is pressed at all during shooting mode which is pretty useless.

In P mode it returns to the cameras's setting choice. But nothing spectacular.

I just discovered that and was thinking of posting that today Hey it seems like a useful function. Even my D700 does not hvae it. I am wondering if I should start messing with P mode more often.
