Made this one last Saterday.

It's showing the S2 is totaly useless to frame images ;-).

It's only resized and a bit USMed, so I declare it straight from the S2 in JPEG fine at 12Mpixel frame.

Hi Jacques,

That is a truly beautiful and compelling image.

Thanks for sharing such an example of what our useless camera can produce!

Best wishes,

David

Hi David,

Thanks for your comments and let us enjoy this beast of 6Mpixel plus,

jacques.

Hi Artichoke,

I realy don't know what he has been mixing, I just saw fine colors, nice shapes, well an interesting image.

Settings:

All default except:

ISO 800
F=3.3
f=79mm
WB = auto
spotmetering
t=1/60s

hand held, oh boy I realy feel brave ;-), just hate tripods and with a tripod I couldn't have made this one, just lost some hundred the same day.

jacques.

Just posted this one as I felt pleased with it too and a lot of people are posting they are in doubt, well who would be in doubt, as one used this great camera for just a couple of hours.

Hi teski,

It seems to show uo for a while again.

Well hope you like it, for me it's feeling like a new baby ;-),

Hi we,

Wel as this photograph convinced you to wait unti Christmas, it must have had some impact.

What you have seen on your screen, I think could have been made with 2.6 Mpixel camera as well.

Well I just love the S2, as it gives me a feeling of freedom, it's the beter 'point and shoot', well after you learned to use it, whaiche aint't that difficult.

Well most certainly in case you aren't that stupid as me; making photographs with all - 3.0 EV, last Saterday after changing lenses still shooting at F=5.6, well I like to shoot, I realy don't have the time to take care about camera settings, oh boy now everyone will tell me I am making snapshots.

Well happy me I am making snapshots. ;-)))

Th eS2 and the way it's handling colors just is fantastic, realy Velvia film in an electronic package,

Hi Jacques,

Excellent work, but I think this forum is more about posting problems with this useless camera instead of taking fine pictures like this ;-)

thanks for sharing.

Hi CyberCare,

Partly I do agree with you and you won't find many photographs made by me on this forum, I just like to post help or questions, but there have been some doubting people about the qualities of the S2 and well I don't think I am that great photographer, but just liked to share, how a not that great photographer can make nice images, oh boy I mean photographs, with a S2.

I do hope you enjoyed looking at this one, hope you are enjoying your S2 as much as I do. They will have a hard, yes a realy very hard time to produce something realy better. I'm not waiting for 100 MB of frames, as they doesn't bring me more detail, well I think you know what I mean.

The S2 is on the edge and on the edge of what we want to have for some time,

jacques.

BTW I do have a stuck pixel ! A real problem ;-), but Belgium Fuji will take care of it.

Hi Jacques,

It appears to be a fact of life that no matter how apparently good something "is" you will always have some who think it is not good enough. Notwithstanding those who have legitimate problems with the camera. Is quality control an issue at Fuji? I dont know, but I have managed to get a few "dogs" from Nikon and a few "gems" from Sigma in my day. Guess I am just lucky??

I have worked with great cameras and I have works with horrible cameras, and to me the S2 is a great camera. Many posts appear related to some wanting a point n shoot, just not reading the manual, any experience in DSLRs, or taking the time to do a search.

Technology will always bring about something that is better, faster, etc. The S2 represents the best of what I have time to process, file size, resolution, and features. By far the S2 is not the only great DSLR, but I just dont see all the problems I read here.

BTW, hot pixels are not unique to Fuji digicams...
