It is time to conclude this challenge and vote. I would like to thank everybody for their great images and for taking that extra step to send me their nicknames and real names. When the voting is over I will reveal all. :)

We will be voting on two of the galleries in the challenge: eligible and exhibition. The display gallery is a non-voting gallery. The person with the most votes in the eligible gallery will host Challenge 28.

I want to let everybody know that I moved some pictures in preparation for this vote. I moved all pictures with real names insstead of nicknames or with unidentified nicknames to the display gallery. These pictures are still available for viewing but are not eligible for votiing in either the eligible or the exhibition galleries. Most of you did send names so both voting galleries are quite full.

Since there are so many images, especially in the exhibition gallery, I have decided to allow voting for the 5 top pictures in the eligible and the exhibition galleries. Please put all votes in this thread.

once again the stf'ers have out done them selves....these challenges just keep getting better quality pictures every time. that doesnt make it any easier to vote, but here goes. some by the same artist were good but yto spread around the votes i limited myself to one vote per artist.

honorable mentions: these just grabed my attention and made it past the first round of eliminations toward my final votes. all those not mentioned were very god too but these made more of an empression.

These challenges continue to improve... the participation in this one was great and the photos even better.

My congratulations to Ann for a very orderly challenge and for deciding to take the extra work for us!

Now the hard part: every single photo is really good. The quality of some shots is really amazing (the kind that keeps me going back to them several times during the day!).

Ann, absolutley super Challenge. Great choice of topic - the response and the quality of submissions says it all.

Five votes in each category, seemed like too many, but after looking over these contributions more votes would have been even better.

Just outstanding postings here. Many could be first place finishers in other contests. 1) "Awake Prince Charming" just was spectacular. All the elements just came together in this picture. You couldn't expect better from a studio shoot. 2)"Reflection" - Wow, another superb photo, almost oriental in it inclusion of elements. 3) "Itsy Bitsy Spider" - a great close up, nicely done. 4)"Artic Ground Squirrel" - Just charming, made me smile. 5)"I just want to sleep" - excellently exposed and composed.

The Exhibition entries really were worthy of Exhibition. Here though one photo was just so spectacular that it was easy to select first place. 1) "Wings of Freedon" by Simpson, was one of those photos that you not only wish you had taken yourself, but that you would love to see on your wall. This is clearly a wild life picture that would be at home in or on the cover of any nature publication. Absolutely superb!! 2)"Did I bring you food" - Another exceptional photo, this and the first place entries make the STF Challenge seem more like a contest for professional photographers than for hobbyists. The framing, the color tones, the composition - extraordinary! 3) "The Fisherman", Emigna can do not wrong, a great picture. The emphasis on the talons and the overall sharpness make this a winner. 4)"Wasp" - A spectacular close-uo. The detail is incredible, you can even make out the segments on the antenna. Super! 5)"Bug's Breakfeast" - Just he right combination of subject and color.
