I don't get it. These gnomes are not travelling, and they don't have SP350ies. In fact, none of them have a camera.

Interesting.
IIRC, in ancient history (before you joined dpreview in 2006), one of the regulars here (Artshot Sue) sculpted one or more of the original gnomes used in the Travelocity commercials.
We went to Disneyworld two weeks ago, in when we came out of Soaring (in the Land), there were some Mickey gnomes for sale (taken with my E-P2 at ISO 3200, the raccoon is a finger puppet that I was taking pictures of in various gift shops, etc):
