Hi All

I just got back from 8 days of taking pictures at several dog shows in Chicago. I shot about 600 pictures per day with my D60, 4 different types of flash cards & an Image Tank (excellent). I got show great shots when I reviewed them on the D60"s back, but when I downloaded my image tank at the end of the day (1 hour) a lot were missing - 50 to 75%.

I had no problem the first 2 days. All worked well and I only noticed the difference on the 3 day and each day after.

My first thought was the image tank, so I downloaded the card from in my camera into Canon's Zoom Browser. I had a lot of file that showed no thumbnail, just a ? and it said Contaminated File.

I bought a new card thinking it might be the cards as I was formatting them every time after I downloaded them to the image tank, but I had the same problems.
I was shooting in JPG Large Fine mode.

Not having a conection to the internet until tonight, I was not able to ask you all if you've seen this before. I call Canon's 1-800 number and they said to send the camera in.
Has anyone heard of this?

I was shooting in both modes.

I would shoot in "P" for continuous mode & single shot & Portrait for some single shots. I can say for sure that most of my shots were in the continuous mode.

this is starting to become widespread..............maybe a call to Canon, and don't let them try to tell you they have never heard of this problem.

another member (Mike Medici) has been offered a refund by Canon, and they are asking him to agree to keeping quiet on the matter............go figure.
sorry to hear that you lost some valuable shots.

i've had a missing picture when the count goe from like 99-100 as an example. meaning that everytime the file hits 99, the 100th pic comes up empty.

Thanks for your reply & advice.

I'll give Canon Canada a call on Tues. I called Canon USA last week with no advice but to send the camera in for service - it's probably a call in center. I may try their email first.

Hi John

No... I did watch for that when shooting. But I did take longer to write to the card.
