I did not lighten or darken these images, they are pretty close to straight off the camera. Horrible horrible vertical banding in the sky though at 100 ISO. Is this common for the 7D or should I contact Canon?

Those are excellent photos...!!!

If you didn't lighten or darken them, what sort of post processing did you do? Those look too good to be untouched.

I sharpened them in CS5 a bit thats all, changed mode to lab> deselect the colored layers> filter> sharpen> unsharpen mask. That is all, I did end up with two different tones for each scene because I tried different white balances.

How long does it take a vegetable to start loosing its freshness? This happens in the amount of time it takes it to go from its victory party to its congressional office!

Nothing wrong with these photos!

I see, so no layering two different images? They came out very very nice, almost like what HDR strives to be.

You converted them from raw in ACR6.1?

Usualy the 7D can show banding in under exposed areas or when pushed, this is I think due to the 4 channel read (for perfomance) and/or unbalanced green chanels.

Also whats your 7D's firmware rev?

I've noticed verticle banding in a few shadow areas but only when viewed at 100% and it doesnt seem to impact the final image/print.

Fantastic job on all of them, but #2 & #3 are just incredible.

great pictures.....my favorite is the second one...wonderful tones !!!

Amazing images! Thanks for sharing.

No layerin, this is the very first time I shot in the "golden hour" and I shot with the sun coming from behind me and it was shinning on the front (clouds) moving out. so it was making things bright enough to shoot but dark enough so that nothing washed out, except a cloud at one point that was catching way to much light, im sure you can point that out.
