Fly blowing bubble

That was a world cup qualifier you interrupted at he got a free throw LOL!

Nice detail but I wouldn't go as far as 2Raj to call it 'beautiful', intruiging maybe?

That is SUPER close!

Nice pic (yes I did say 'nice')

Got this the other day: Hs10 (no Raynox :( ), major crop, poor IQ compared to yours but at least it has a reasonable DOF!

No PP (except too much fill light!) - I was out shooting bees and got this as well.

Pretty aren't they?

Great shot! The color of that bubble, though... ewww!

BTW, how did you happen to come across such a peculiar spectacle?

Regards,
Scott

After seeing this all I could think of was:

"Why, Why, Why???"

... in my best Nancy Kerrigan imitation after getting her kneecaps busted.

Hey Scott, thanks!

I guess flies blow bubbles quite a bit, I looked it up on google after I got the shot. Some are clear, some brown, they only have many theories on why they do it. All kinda gross lol

I was just playing with the Raynox, saw a little fly on a leaf, focused and when I saw it through the EVF I gagged, then snapped the shot LOL

LOL yes, why.. I guess their so nasty, might as well do more things nasty LOL

I found that too, and about 4 other theories on why they do that. Looks like no one knows for sure. Some also think it's how they get rid of excess moisture when their in the sun, or how they cool themselves. No matter what, it's freaken nasty lol
