Those were taken in University of Freiburg in the Organics Laboratory.

All with K10D and Pentax M50 F2.0. The day before, I cut an old viewfinder of a Pentax ME into pieces to get the microprism splitscreen to put it in my K10D... I did the Focus adjustment of the viewfinder with the silver metal+5 layers of scotch-tape... carefully inserted... and now it focuses perfectly...
Now I can use my old manual lenses in a much better way wide open... ;)

about the frames... I don't like them - I want to do a calender for a friend who loves chemistry and I think with that it should look quite nice ;)

Heyyy.... another chemist! I'm the inorganic flavour myself but not very different.

I do like these detail shots and the PP makes them really 'pop' - a very nice look.
Best wishes

Wow, it has been 15 yrs since I'm in that lab, very familiar stuff. Still love being a chemist. Do you guys still remember your nomenclature? :-)

I like those pictures very much! Good job!

Hi all, another chemist here !

Those lab shots look a lot cleaner than our lab. What about yours - or perhaps mine is just mucky - too much going on to have time to clean . . . :-)

All I want is a digital back for my trusty K1000 . . .

Thank you all for your positive comments! It is so clean, because I'm still a student and so evereything that goes on is not too fancy ;)

Regards! Kevin

Wow... I wish I had research students like you in my group, my lab is a pigsty :-)

As a chemist, I'd have to say that is NOT a real lab - way too clean. Doesn't look at all like any of mine ever did. LOL

Photography is a shooting game...

The balloons were to enshure the argon-atmosphere. There was a rubber sealing and a inject-needle with an argon-balloon on top because we don't have enough Schlenk-Lines for all students... works pretty good though... and yes - we had fun with the colours ;)

I know that we will NEVER EVER discover anything of importance in this lab - as history thought us with the discovery of penicillin... ;)
Regards!
