See if it help you to make your decision to buy one of them.. it's kind of fun doing some home made 'review'.. i designed the blog and took all the pictures..

I was hoping for actual samples taken by you with all 3 cameras at different ISOs and stuff...

thanks for d feedback..that's quick.. the blog will mainly focus on Samsung EX1 and i posted 2 photos each for G11, s90 and EX1.. I took all the photos you saw and i only wanna point out the benefit of each camera in those situation where they work the best... i have got thousand of G11 and S90 photo but 'no apple to apple' comparison.. Both G11 and S90 are so good so i just go out and take real pictures..

Iso comparison is only availlable for Ex1 now..Three camera share the same sensor so the only different is probably the noise reduction algorithm and the Signal to noise ratio of the electronics that will effect the noise..

EX1- for Low light person ( that's why i show d indoor shot)

G11- for outdoor person (mostly outdoor)

S90 - ultra potable person (the picture was taken in a castle where security is tight)

That's a bit better, but if you post samples for people to evaluate a camera, please post the full image (or at least some 100% crops from the corners and center).
At such a reduced size, most cameras look pretty good :)

Thanks for your suggestion.. the bigger size picture up to (1600*1200) is readily available if you double click all the images on the blog..

Your samples would be much more helpful if you used the same shot and conditions for all three cameras. As it is there is really no way for the reader to compare the actual image quality of the cameras.

My best, Tom

thanks for all your advice.. I would like to review more but only got limited time since i am currently writing up my Phd thesis.. i designed the review website just to relieve stress...hihi..

Plus the point is the three camera have the same sensor.. so the image quality in theory should be almost similar in RAW and only affected by image processing algorithm, the front end electronics, and the quality of the lens..

As far as i can tell.. all there camera are GREAT! only see what you really need .. each have pros and cons in term of handling, performance. size and price

oops.. thank for pointing it out.. glad that you enjoy it..i saw your smug website.. the pics are awesome!!

thanks for your post. i have the s90 & g11 and i agree that the g11 is the better outdoor camera. i think this size sensor really rocks. best regards, jack

You have made a very good beginning. You have also received some good suggestions as well. So just implement those suggestions and keep on trucking. Those are three rather hot cameras.

We need more of these in many forums across brands. A great learning experience. Light. Not heat!

P.S. We should try to compare samples after all cameras have their latest firmware installed.

Good insight many thanks for it, it has helped me some what.
Regards Alan.
