Went on a spending spree this past month: Olympus E-30 ( better than my E3 by leaps and bounds ), Canon 28-135 IS lens ( it'll ride on my 1D when it gets back from its latest CLA), Canon f/2.8 70-200 f/2.8 L ( replaced my ancient (1987 70-200 f2.8/), Olympus E30+ HLD4 grip; bought new HP 17" Windows 7 Professional laptop, ( 4GIG, 500 GIG HD ), new SONY 60X camcorder w/tripod, card & case kit, refurbished EOS 1Ds, EOS 1n HS & EOS A2E.
I'm re-retiring at 71 and headed for the front range in Colorado. I don't really expect to ever buy more camera gear ( except for that I lose or it breaks ); I've been at this craft snce 1956.
I do expect to look into the new and highly speculated on "E5" by Olympus if I ever decide I will buy the next pro Olympus body.
There are those of us who really prefer the E30 over any speculative replacement/upgrade for the E3 .
I thought I would indulge myself with one of the micro/4/3rds bodies but why? Weight? Nope. No new camera format ( m/43rds ) interests me; besides, I like OVF bodies.
