Went on a spending spree this past month: Olympus E-30 ( better than my E3 by leaps and bounds ), Canon 28-135 IS lens ( it'll ride on my 1D when it gets back from its latest CLA), Canon f/2.8 70-200 f/2.8 L ( replaced my ancient (1987 70-200 f2.8/), Olympus E30+ HLD4 grip; bought new HP 17" Windows 7 Professional laptop, ( 4GIG, 500 GIG HD ), new SONY 60X camcorder w/tripod, card & case kit, refurbished EOS 1Ds, EOS 1n HS & EOS A2E.

I'm re-retiring at 71 and headed for the front range in Colorado. I don't really expect to ever buy more camera gear ( except for that I lose or it breaks ); I've been at this craft snce 1956.

I do expect to look into the new and highly speculated on "E5" by Olympus if I ever decide I will buy the next pro Olympus body.

There are those of us who really prefer the E30 over any speculative replacement/upgrade for the E3 .

I thought I would indulge myself with one of the micro/4/3rds bodies but why? Weight? Nope. No new camera format ( m/43rds ) interests me; besides, I like OVF bodies.

Are you the one who won the $300,000,000 Powerball the other night? :D

Where at in the front range?

I think it's "Kale" (Maybe "cale") but I'm not from there?

Nah: I'm 71, cashed out my pensions, sold all but my money market certificates, dumped 13,561 shares of Walmart and closed my 401k. I waited unril our homes (2) were sold and now we're more or less set to roam the "outback".

We'll cross into Colorado ( definetely going to spend some time in Cripple Creek gambling ), spend some time there then scoot for New Mexico (behind Taos) and on to the warmer climes by winter.

Nice.. I'm envious, and in a good way. I'll be thinking of you when I'm stuck at work.
