Just joined the S2 club last week. Very nice camera.

My question is: As a professional photographer mainly shooting actors in the L.A. area, I have the need to print proof sheets for my clients. I don't see any easy way to do that with the included software.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Thumbsplus (cerious.com) is good for contact sheets and lossless jpeg rotations. You can also use its database functions to keep track of your images by keyword, location, etc.

Hi larry,

Try FinePixViewer. You can print RAFs/JPEGs/TIFFs.

Never tried this at a pro lab yet but if you dont mind the logo, try a place thats cheap and has a frontier printer like sams club or walmart. they can do 8x10 or 12 inch index prints. they splash some logo on it though but other than that it seems ok, and if a client or pro has a problem with that, i say the clients pay for your equipment but mainly your eye, and how much quality do you need for a thumbnail size pic. if anything try it out, ive only seen it once and jsut glanced at it, but if you can, chop the logo off, $5 is a good ammount for a test. shrug

In FinPixViewer select the pictues you want to put on a proof sheet then go to File/index print. It's that easy.

Photoshop does basic "contact" sheets, allowing you to specify the
image size by specifying the number of rows and columns per page.
It's a little hard to find at first:

File -> Automate -> Contact Sheet

Thanks for all the feed back. It's been really helpful.

Never knew that about photoshop. Thanks Chris.

ACDsee Does a geat job. I've been using it for a year or so and have given clients contact sheets and you can vary the size so the thumbs are bigger than 1.5x1.

I'll second that. I've been using the Photoshop contact sheet function for a while, and in PS 7 it's been improved. It works simply and efficiently, and I've gotten more than a few orders from it.

Compupic 6.2 also works great. Got a unique maxi show ..to show 4 image at once in a slide show ..
