The cat of my parents is difficult to photograph. It does not like to be photographed, it either turns the back to the camera, or simply walks away.

Yesterday afternoon, I tried to capture it using the FA*400, while it saw me, I could remain on a distance without having it walking away.

All shots handheld, with K-7 and FA*400/5.6

f/5.6, 1/320s, 100iso

f/5.6, 1/250s, 100iso

This is a cat you want to flip onto it's back and rub its belly till it knows WHO is in charge, then when you withdraw your lacerated hand.............rub it AGAIN,sorry deadset cat fan here.

Hi Dominique,

Nice cat, nice shots, nice lens and lovely bokeh :)

I like very much the short DOF. AF or MF ?

Yeah, but this more about association than specificity..............:-))))))))))))))))))))))))

It is a beautiful cat and your shots of it are superbly detailed and well colour-rendered! Normally I would post one of my cat shots but I have none to remotely match these technically! That lens is awesome...look at the textures, wonderful! Nice PP'ing my friend!
Excellent work!

Best regards
Leo

Thank you Leo. Normally, I would not have posted the photos of the cat here, but the details and beautiful rendition in this late afternoon light made me change my mind.

The lens is truly awesome. The only regret is to not have bought it much earlier...

These are good - I'm particularly fond of the first one. The sharpness/bokeh/rendering are top notch. We don't see shots taken with that lens around here much - would love to see more.

lovely shots Dominique, the white fur stands out from the back or sideway light. I love them.

wow... what a lens! The first is my fave... Such a cat like pose!

Although I bet if you could catch a front on shot with a little more light on the face the Blue Eyes would pop.

Beautiful oof, color is wonderful. Please post more from this lens. I could never afford one, but it gives me something to compare all others too....
