Ive been around doing price war and quotes..

Lucky enough i went to a shop where they sale cameras.. i pretended and told him (what price could you do for the camera?) i found it cheaper els where... he ask me what shop.. i told him... and then i pretended and told HIM they quoted me for 550.00 and i ask can you match the price cheaper? he looks on computer and said we can do it for 545.00 so 5.00 off

thats not bad specialy for the camera when the normal price is between 600 and 670.00

Aniways i ask him i want to buy a charger and batteries with that and a memorie card which cost 45.00 but disscounted for me for 5 dolllars off..... Fiar enoug.

So he shows me that the charger is on special and comes with 4 charchable batteries... here is the link so you can check it out:

http://img210.imageshack.us/i/readytogo.jpg/

its call: Inca Ready to Go 2hr Rapid Charger .

It cost 25.00 dollars AUD ammount. are they of any good ? just hope its not the worse batteries ever but its on special and comes with the 4 batteries with the charger together.

So my question is before i buy the camera and the

card and these batteries that comes with the charger... can you please tell me either that charger and the batteries are good or worse ? it looks cheap its like 24.00 dollars comes with 4 batteries and the charger...

Many thanks :) take care and happy shooting photos for life

2hrs is a bit quick for long life, but much better than the super fast chargers.

The best batteries you can get would be Eneloops - something like this:

http://www.thomasdistributing.com/shop/sanyo-eneloop-aa-2000-mah-4-battery-pack-brultra-low-discharge-nimhbr1-free-4-cell-battery-case-p-287.html?SP_id=50&osCsid=a98rm8a91donrsllit8gi3gna7

And the charger I bought and am extremely happy with (charges 8 at once, independent charging bays, each one capable of sensing a full battery or a broken battery -- also capable of reconditioning a battery.)

Hope you can hear his voice lol he has a point but for sure its not a bad deal you got there

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/VAPEX-AA-2900-mAh-Ni-MH-RECHARGEABLE-BATTERIES-NiMH-/380206940200?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Cameras_Photographic_Accessories&hash=item5886198028

I got this batteries takes 3-4 days and is free postage and I would buy it of you if you are not happy (just kidding I have already 8 off them and I'm happy with it and they are a bit more environmantal friendly I get 4-5hr play around time with it on/off).

No problems.. Its a matter og been smart when shopping. i allways say i found this camera cheaper els where.. and then go from there.. well i can get this camera for 545.00 it is the cheapest price ever i can imagine in australia as of today.

I went to the store yesturday i ask a different emplyee the same thing she would give it to me for 550.00 and today i went back and acted as if i found the camera cheaper by speaking to a different emplyee and he would make it for 545.00 I think its a deal but dunno.. This is australia price..

What i did was pretended that a different store quoted me the camera for 550.00 (just to see if the emplyee on this store would make it even cheaper then that.. and so it did work 545.00 wonderfull hehe :) The real quoted price i was given at a diffeent store for a discounted price was actually 557.00 :) but as you know i went to a different store and pretended a shop quoted me 550.00 just to se if this person will beat the price.

Its interesting how fast they would sale it now for me for 545.00

Remember most stores will not give a quote cheaper price at all.. but most stores do.

Aniways ABOUT THE CHARGER:

i just hope that charger is good enough still need people adveice because the charger coems with 4 batteries and its on special for just 24.00 dollars

I think 2 hours is good aint it? i mean its not like the camer will be turn on for 1 hour constantly.

For these in australia... if your thinking of buying this camera HS10 be sure to do that trick... try act as if your been honest.. Just say originaly the price they have is 550.00 but they quoted me a good deal for 545 and when u say this to a different store you might even get it just for 545 or even cheasper..

Never the less this camera is quickly going to change price believe it or not.. because each time i buy cadgets the price is cheaper 5 weeks after i broght the item.

So heres the deal ive given:

HS10 545.00
charger with the 4 batteries together 23.00 (1 dollar off discounted for me)
SD 8GB for just 45.00 (5 dollars off discounted for me)

Snoot bag just alittle handy bag for it just 20.00 dollars... (no need discounted on that)

all up is 603.33 AUD

what do you think folks good deal ? or still not that good deal ? I ask him well i need card.. batteries and all and i acted nice buy saying (if.. abit of discount with these things too) hehe
And it worked.. But still its expensive everything though

Let me knwo what you think course if you fine it cheaper els where a different store can beat the price (depends) if you are honest of the quote has given. This is a price at the store not online.

Im still angry that the fact a few camera shops in australlia has the old price on these cmeras for example HS10 ahs the display price for 678.00 BELIEVE IT or not display infront of the shop. (shame if someone was to buy the camera with totaly no discounted and if discounted they wouldnt beat the price ive been quoted.. Just remember what i indicated obove.. its a act play play smart and shop around.. unless your a millionaire and you dont care :)

Hi,

What you need with the HS10 are batteries with stable power output, capable of high peak performance when using the flash without draining form several such shots. What you actually don't need is high capacity, which oppositely might be the case with some DSLRs, which don't even work properly with batteries less than 2700mAh.

Also be aware that producers like Sanyo, Varta and Energizer(produced by NiMh for them produced by Sanyo) state exact capacity +\- 2% and most other brands, especially all Chinese, Turkish etc. "extreme" batteries are absolute bull*hit - they state 2900mAh and are around 2000, or less usually and also can get drained by several successive shots using the flash.

My hint - either Eneloops (I use them myself), either top Varta, or Energizer models.

Varta and Energizers have a bit higher capacity than Eneloops, but they last less, as they loose power on stand by and when not used, as any other battery besides the Eneloops.

That's it.

Cheers!

From my experience - two hour batteries charge about 30%-40% less than my 16h charger, so I just have two or three sets and always have two of them charged(remember eneloops don't drain when not used), which solves the problem with the long charging time.

Cheers and good luck with your batteries!

Thanks for your advice much preciated.. In australia these camera stores do not do (black market) if you know what i mean of fake brands and all that black marketing that other stores do maybe like in viernam if your not carefull.
Aniways all good its a nice camera.

The charger that comes with this discounted price can i put any kind of recharchable batteris on that charger ? I might go to woolies or coles and buy some new recharchable batteries abit more.. theres a new one i cant remember it has the brand name in blue color... not sure if its call energizer ? its a blue something it says Ultra something brand.

Ah thank you :-) is the oz dollar falling? well if i was to buy the camera tomorrow i cant just ask again for a nice acting discounted deal... course he allready wrote it on the paper for me :) i dont no.. how about try play with the camera and then run fast outside and take the camera for free spring. No ;) i wish im too small for that hehe.

Aniways 545.00 is a good price... and smart thinking i faked that a different store quoted me for 550 while this store now claims to make it 545.

I almost said a store quoted me it for 300. dollars... hehe but imposible to bea the price. Maybe it will in january 2011 :)

Hmm... for me a HS10 would be just the HS10 (400€ - 508$ at current rate - one could get one for 380€ or even a bit less)... i have 3 or 4 cards laying around (i have 3 cards always with me making a total of 12Gb ) and around 20 rechargeable AA's (and obviously 3 chargers - one of them requires quite some expertise to use, or else you blow up the batteries like popcorns in a microwave) ... but you're right there are some extra costs to consider for most of people...

I think Sanyo Eneloops hype is a bit overrated... for a camera they are quite nice since the low discharge rate helps to maintain them with charge and ready to go... but they have quite some low power per unit time output... in some appliances they don't deliver the expected performance (well the old NiCd's are quite good in that matter).

i would rather expend 100€ on a good charger than 10€ on a charger and then have 20€ my batteries risked to be fried each time i charged... a good charger ensures that recharge cycles will be near the stated...

Nice batteries, but not low discharge. So if you don;t shoot and charge every day, you will end up with flat batteries every time you go to use the camera. This is the power and the glory of the eneloop ...

... but not any more ;-)

Everyone who once used Eneloops will never again want anything else. And no, Sanyo does not pay me for saying this.

Just trust Kim and buy a good charger with 4 Eneloops

I want to say that i would never buy batteries from ebay.. Specialy more worse if they come from overseas and end up been the (black market products) if you know what i mean which is very true that anyone may thump abond one of these tricks when buying products like that on ebay. You just never know.

So im going to buy the batteries in the store we know in australia. I mean look at coles or woolworth store in australia

( for these who dont no what coles and woolies are they are large supermarket stores to buy food)

aniways they have a few large range of batteries know days either they are recharchable batteries or normal ones and event hey sale 2 or 3 different brand range of chargers aswell. So yeah they sure will not sale the black market in stores like that thats for sure. You just dont no either the batteries you buy on ebay are new or quality or such.. people allways make money there and even they end up making fake replica item brands to make it look like they are the real brands when its not. It all depends with WHO your dealing with on ebay,.

But again i preciate and thank YOU for your advice before about ebay and the batteries.., I just dont deal ebay anymore.

I gues batteries are going to be as good as the all the rest brands... one may be 80% better then the other been 100% but mainly all batteries are all the same.. its just that short amount makes no differents.

By the way the HS10 camera are they all the same 4 AA batteries ? or are one smaller then the other ? just so i know what im buying i have the amount of batteries for the camera.. I dont no if it is call bouble AA batteries..

(look at what technology does to me) I want everything.

I recently bought Eneloops without a Sanyo charger.
I have three questions:

1. How long the original Sanyo quick charger takes to fully charge these batteries?

2. Can I use a NOMA charger? This charger was working fine with other brands (Duracell, Sony, Panasonic, Noma etc.), and is advertised to charge their own Noma brand in 15 minutes and other brands in 30 minutes.

3. Eneloop batterries retain their charge longer than other brands when left outside the camera. How about leaving them inside the camera - do they retain their charge longer than other brands, when not used.
Thanks.

I don't know how it's possible to fully charge NiMH batteries in 15mins ... according to physical and chemical restrictions it takes 1h30m with a very good charger ... at least without damaging the batteries.

To make them go really full it takes around 5h with a good charger...

maybe those 15min chargers can make energy go inside without getting batteries hot, or making them vent... by magic...

Well... in a more serious observation... they may charge around 70-80% in 15min before the batteries go too hot ... but i wouldn't do it...

About leaving batteries inside the camera: If the camera physical disconnects the battery they shouldn't discharge.... but is not advisable to leave them because they can leak and damage the camera (quite rare with modern batteries)
