I decided to visit a Museum of Modern Art in Antwerp but when I arrived there I see all this and thought that as all these people where only there for one day that the Museum will stay there much longer so I concentrated myself on all those people there. Hope that you like it, if you want to see some more of this day you can see them here: http://www.pbase.com/dievee/antwerp_27_07_02&page=1http://www.pbase.com/image/4034500

Hi Dirk, I like the first 2 the best. In all the photos you have done a fine job of capturing life as it is.

Hello Dirk,

As you say, the museum can wait. Another fine set of candids. Thanks.

Hello ****,

I very much like your photography! I always look at the photos you post. ****, I find that I am very shy about photographing people I don't know. How do people react when you photograph them?

My brief comments on each of your photos:
  1. 1: Wonderful selective focus!
  2. 2: This one is interesting. Although the depth of field is greater in this shot, still the man in the middle jumps out at you. Maybe it's his expression, but my eyes are drawn to him immediately.
  3. 3: Typically you see this kind of shot in black and white, but here, I think the color works very nicely.
  4. 4: I never think of shooting people from a lower angle. I really must try that.
Thank you for sharing your photos!

Bill

Excuse me, sir, for calling you **** instead of you're true name of Dirk. My eyes are not so good any more!

Hi Dirk
A fantastic series.
You had a good idea to kept outside the museum.

My favorite, of course, is the man sleepin (or maybe dreaming) on the bench. A truly masterpiece of street photography. The image has a crazy movement and the surrounding with the affiches talking with the hand of the man complete a fine art photography composition.

I like too the play between the woman and the guitar of the man, the guitar in the same position if she was playing; and the perspective of the ladies red dressed transforming them in a kind of sculptures.
with respect

Hi Morris,

thanks again for the kind words and I readed in one of your comments that you had such a bad year last year, I feel sorry for you and hope that this would never happen again in the future and that it will be as bright as possible. All the very best.

Hi.....Love your pictures....Great camera(s2). I am thinking of
getting one, and i just wanted to know...are all your pictures out
of camera or did you work on them in post?

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks again for sharing!
Hi Filmmaker,

Thanks very much and I agree, the S2 is really superb, the best camera I ever had, there is a lot of dust on my analog Nikons now. Most of the pictures are straight out the camera jpeg's (resized, sometimes level adjustement and USM after resize) but some are processed in Photoshop (for light effects or sometimes removing disturbing things). If you want to know information about certain shots, mention them or give a link to them and I will be glad to give you the information.

With very kind regards,

Dirk
