from mowing my lawn!

I was getting ready to mow my lawn when I heard the sound of a jet plane going over. I looked around but saw no plane. Then I noticed the sound was getting closer. It was over a dozen Harley's coming down my street.

And they pulled up and parked in my front yard! Oh well, guess the lawn mowing will have to wait. I better see what type of ruffians are invading my neighborhood.

I found out that my next door neighbor's grandson just graduated from Marine boot camp and they were having a party for him. The local group of retired Marines that ride motorcycles came by to give him a welcome.

So it gave me an excuse to dodge out on some yard work, go grab my camera, and take a few shots. :)

More photos in the next post.

And to keep this gear oriented, I really think I should get the new NEX camera now that I have heard that a reviewer got a Alpha mount lens (SSM/SAM) to AF with the E-mount adapter.

These shots taken with the Ol' KM 5D & SAL 18-250.

Here are the rest of the shots from the Marines on Harley's.

I really like the way the jpg's come out of the 5D. It makes uploading to a gallery very quick. I hope the camera will keep clicking for a few more years.

And remember, if you see a bunch of motorcycle riders coming down your street, they just might be a group of Marines on Harley's. :)

How great is that. Super.

You probably didn't blink an eye on leaving the yard work. :D

All excellent captures but don't they have a chaser to finish up. I can loan you Tera. :D

Do you have one ?

Michel

Thanks George.

Now that sounds like a great idea.
She can sit on the Marine's bikes while I take pictures.

I'm sure the guys would love that. Let me know when she is available. Yeah, right. :)

Thanks Michael. They were very interesting bikes.

The only bike I have is a pedal bike.
No motorcycles for me. I had one years ago, but my wife is against me riding.
Best to keep the wife happy. :)

But I would love to hit the open road and travel cross country.
I can dream.

Rick,

Nice self-portraits in #4 and #6. ;) Overall great photos and what could be better than shiny machines that make a lot of noise.

Regards, Conrad

Nice pics from that 'ol 5D Rick.

Now tell us that's not your 10 inch high grass in the back ground.. If so you're spending way too much time in the woods on that mountain bike.
