Dropped off the D100 for 2.0 upgrade around lunch and just picked it up (the technicans were having lunch)..

I was very satisfied with the 1.01 photos already.. so I am not eager to do extensive sharpness testing..

But I already noticed one improvement that is not in the release note:

If you turn off the camera right after shooting.. it's going to flush the buffer before turning the camera off. (OF course I found that out by accidient.. as I was saying damn to myself..)

(It's nice to work 5 mins from Nikon Canada..)

Michael,

I do not live too far from the Mississauga facility. Did you have to set-up an appointment or did you just drop by. Is there a service counter there I can take my camera into?

Please advise and Thank You.

Yes.. it's the Mississauga place.. you don't need to setup any appointment (at least not yet).. and there is a service counter there..

Michael,

Sorry to disapoint you, but my camera already does that flushing before turning itself off and its software is version 1.01

Keep looking for other improvements

Wow.. you guys want to fly in just to do the upgrade? ;)

Well, they asked for the bill-of-sale and checked the serial that the camera is bought in Canada.. and 2nd, although it's close to the airport, that place is not very accessible without a car.. so you're better off sending it to the US center...

Michael
Can I get USA camera upgraded in Canada, as I am going to Toronto
tomorrow.

Just to clarify, v.1.01 (and 1.00) will write the last shot taken but not the whole buffer. If you have more than 1 shot buffered you will lose data.
