Just downloaded: now I have also these two art-filters which were not available in Studio/Master for my E-P1!!!

E-P1 users finally get E-P2 filters... only Gentle Sepia from E-PL1 is still missing.

JPGs seems to be the same as with Studio: I checked by pixel-peeping: Viewer JPGs WITH distortion correction are identical to Studio ones. If distortion is not corrected, the JPG appears slightly but visibly cropped (as it happens with Olympus Master).
I would be interested in your opinions on Viewer vs. Studio.

that the additional 2 filters were a mistake. It wouldnt surprise me if there was a patch soon to correct the very nice error.

That aside it seems quite good so far and I am looking forward to checking out more of these new filters :)

Hu? Am I missing something? I do not get those 2 art filters when I download it. What am I doing wrong?

First impressions are its a bit quicker than Studio. No camera control but that doesn't matter with Pens. Can't get it to open RW2 - is it limited to Oly ORFs?

With Viewer you can use Diorama and Cross-Processing filters onto E-P1 RAW files: this was not possible in Master or in Studio.
No update of in-camera filters.

According to the press release: "In addition to Olympus Studio 2 favourites such as the Light Box and e-Portrait functions for RAW development, it enables PEN camera users to process RAW development files using all the Art Filter effects incorporated in their respective camera..."

So it should only allow us to use the art filters available in our "respective camera." Not good. I guess I'm never going to update my Viewer. LoL

You can use the Diorama and Cross Process filters with the E-P1, even though they are not built in to the camera. I just tried it and they are indeed there and do work.

If that is the case it is AWESOME!
Thanks Brian

Hi all,

I just bought an ep2 and installed the free master 2 software. Afterwards I discovered viewer 2 online and downloaded it. Do I still need master 2 for anything or should I just delete it?

Thanks

I'd just appreciate a patch to fix the 0001618 error the installer gives that prevents installation. This is a defect in the way the installer works, in that one stage of the installation is not shutting down to allow the next to start - it has also affected some Master 2 users in the past.

Any others here seeing the same?

I dont find any Cross-Process in my viewer 2 when I try modify my E-PL1 Raw pics. Anyone who knows how to do?

Go into the RAW editor with your image, and under the 2nd tab (Basic2) at the bottom of the list is "Art Filter"

CROSS PROCESS is the last Art Filter in the drop down list there.

Cheers
