After Life to Real Life - HDR

I like the truck shot. I like the church shot, but it reminds me of a scene in a first person shooter game. It stirs up very dark undertones. It's scary looking in a good way.

To show or not to show: There are two schools in HDR photography, no? Two opposite ways to do imho.

Very nice truck!

Michel,

Not exactly sure what you mean. I think to many folks HDR means an over-saturated, amped up, contrasty image that's over-the-top to them. That's unfortunate, because HDR can also be very natural looking; I've posted many shots where no one seemed to realize it was an HDR other than the person who might state "you got a lot of detail in those shadow areas, nice." The church shot above is probably about mid point on the HDR continuum from cartoonish to real looking; the truck is closer to reality.

Thanks for commenting, even though I wasn't quite sure what you meant. :-)

Well, it's very difficult to comment HDR photography. Because technical criticism is confused with creativity and freedom of expression, many time. BTW HDR falls quickly in the "déjà vu". Thus it is risky to comment some photos and being misunderstood. if you know what i mean!

Anyway, searching is the most important thing when create...
