7D onboard flash dimesions?

You can read the 7D manual on Canon's website. P112 is the flash distance table.

ISO400 F/3.5 is 23ft

ISO400 F/4 is 20ft

ISO400 F/5.6 is 15ft

Also, the flash range drops to only 6ft @ISO400 when in "wireless" mode because half the energy is consumed in the 30-50 pre-flashes that communicate exposure info to the remote flashes. It would have been a far superior wireless system had they gone the "radio" route. A simple 5" wire (removable plug-in) would have accomplished this. The wire would be the antenna.

Can anyone tell me that the onboard flash dimensions are?
Thanks in advance for the help!
Cheers,
Phil

I thought you wanted specs as it is odd to ask for dimensions. I just figured English was your 2nd language. Sorry....

My flash is approx 1.75 wide and 2.00 long. Approx, I didn't actually measure it.
Bill
sorry I should clarify,
Phycial measurement of onboard flash
1 inch x 0.25 inch for example

thanks for the help!
and in mm, perfect!

Dimension Definition=
1. A measure of spatial extent, especially width, height, or length.

2. Extent or magnitude; scope. Often used in the plural: a problem of alarming dimensions.

So I guess both interpretations are correct.
;)

I appreciate you both taking the time to answer my forum question.

Cheers,
Phil

P.S. I checked my first message too and did notice a typo "that" vs "what" so my bad on the typing skills. Thanks again!

Hopefully the author of the pic I pulled from google images will not mind my alterations.

I was referring to the pop-up flash unit and the width x height of the white plastic flash unit.

I was thinking he wanted the flashtube housing so they could possibly fit a diffuser over the entire thing. Only the OP knows what he's asking maybe we will hear from them.

sorry I rushed to judgement on what I perceived their question to be. I think I'm correct though.
