10 out of 7000 pics. 10 months with Canon A20.

Well,

It sure shows that 2 MP is still pretty good! I have to say, though, that Pics 1, 2, and P have my vote for the top three (in no particular order!).

After shooting more than 7000 shots, I've selected 10 of my favorites.
I would really like to hear what you think, and which of these you
like.

I recommend A20 (or A40) to all who think 2MP is enough.

Cheers
Hello Rolin,

A good set of images. I particularly like number 9. I would suggest that you Save for Web. Your images load very slowly. Putting high resolution images on the web makes them easy to steal.

Dear Rolin,

Ik looked at your photo's and i like them. Nice colors. Are there any photo's of cows (the animals) among the 7000 pics. you took? I just started a dabase of pictures of cows all over the world. Via the forums I try to get the photos's.

Interesting shots (party high quality shots, partly unusual motives)! Your macro shots are quite impressive although some subjects seemed to be overexposed (e.g. the following), otherwise you would have got a better color saturation:

Your panoramic picture is simply stunning for an “old-fashioned” 2MP DC!:-)

Great shot's...really love the bug-macro (nr. 3).

Do you use any lenses, macro, tele, filters etc? if so what?
Are the pictures straight out of the camera, or are they photoshopped?

Got an A20 myself but my pictures are not close to yours...still learing btw ;-).

Today Epson 850z - tomorrow Foveon!

  1. 3 is normal macro, the bug is big :)
  2. 4 is shot using +7 close-up lens.
Processing - crop, resample, slight unsharp mask.

8 2MP images. But here you see the result of maybe 6, 6 and 1/2, I have cropped some from the left.
And I had to shoot fast, because those clouds were moving ...

Hi rolin,

Well in case you would have posted these with 60 kB of file size, what realy shows all the deatil we can see at your 200 kB postings, I would have had a look at all 10 as 10 out of several thousands well is very special.

The boat on the sandy beach I do like a lot, all before that one, I get no real good feeling about. Well you asked and I reply.

May I ask what are your intensions making photographs ?

And why the recommodation for a camera ?

I have seen so many very fine, yes superb photoghraphs made with very 'lousy' cameras, well lousy based on the specs, so why the camera recommodation ?

Th eboat is in the right place, the sandy beach has a real interesting texture and the curves in the back are interesting.

A very nice set of pictures. I especially liked the pine cone - beautiful grays and greens and the upturned boat on the - nice lighting on the sand.
Excellent work!
