Taken this morning, KM 5D with Sigma 70-300 APO DG Macro in Macro Mode.
Shot RAW and converted with Rawshooter. Hope you like them.

I can't keep them alive to save my life though.

I live near Pensacola, FL and after the extremely cold (for us) winter we had this year everybody's azaleas have been the best in a long time.

Very nice photos, but a tad underexposed for my taste. But I love it.

Cheers,

Thanks for looking and the comments. I think I tend towards the underexposure especially on flowers.

Well, because you shot raw it's not a problem at all. You can change the "exposure" later after taking your shot, by the value that you like when you develop the file with Rawshooter, and so on.

Giving a glance on the histogram, will help to move it to the "right" position l—> l

without affecting the global quality of your photograph (about one stop?).

Here are the photos with the negative exposure compensation removed or reduced approximately one stop.

Let me know what you think of them. I think they look more natural but I do like the "feel" of the photos I orginally posted.

Thanks for your comments.

These are great Don!! Much more detail in this set......

I agree with you though, that the feel of the first set is very nice.

Thanks for sharing!!!

Well,
"much more detail"
...where? I think he have less sharpness filter imho.

But the light is closer to perfect, exept a lacking of contrasts (but it's about MY feeling, of course). I will post a "sample" later if you agree with this idea Florida.

Best regards,

Hi Michel,

You are welcome to post "samples". I always enjoy seeing others ideas of what makes an image work.

Thanks for your interest, Florida Don

Something like this Florida Don:

Ok, I have to trick the file until we know the difference between the photo-software VS the internet browser!!!

Frankly, the result depend of your screen, the colour space that you use etc..

So, here the Workflow with Photoshop CS

Mode > image
Mode > Adjustments (...as you like ! )
Mode > image
End. … joy

: ^)
