Can anyone help with this problem of my Challenge entry comments forum not available in the last day or so? It loads up the page then says "done with errors". I cant access the flat or threaded view. I can go to the threads from 2 days ago and they are visible.
Any ideas?

Grateful for any help

It may be an odd browser problem. Clear your cache and delete the temporary files and see if that helps. It might also be worthwhile trying an alternative browser at this point.

Same problems for me. Tried all the cache cleansing and different browser tricks but I just get the part of the page and no comments/forum postings.

Perhaps it's part of the cleansing process before a new challenge voting process is announced. ;)

Arrrrrrh !

It must be a dpreview glitch. They're probably monkeying with their code making some changes. It'll probably be fixed in a few days.

The comments are still viewable under each entry on the challenge pages.

I tried several things including using Firefox and Internet Explorer all to no avail.

Question: What do you do all week?
Answer: Mon to Fri. Nothing, Sat & Sun I rest!

They fixed the problem, but why are people allowed to comment on entries of challenges that have not even finished yet?

Doady Ive just answered you in the entry comments thread too.

I know!? Whats going on? I noticed hosts are commenting on the entries they like before voting has even started.
I thought it was new rule or something but it doesnt seem right to me...

When I vote on challenge entry, I often want to tell the photographer something, either a compliment or a suggestion. I don't want to have to wait a week and then go hunting through the images to leave a "first impression" note. So, I'm really glad that I can leave a comment now and not later.

OK, so we can see the comments. I'm not going to lose any sleep of that . I mean, c'mon, do you really think it's going to affect the outcome of the challenges? Considering the number of spoiler votes being cast, I don't really think it's going to screw up anything. When push comes to shove, I'm more interested in the conversation around these images than deciding on a "winner."

DPR, thanks for allowing us to make comments during during voting!

I agree that it would be/is great to leave comments at the voting stage, but during submission?

I'm wondering if this is an update that has gone awry, and that the comments are only meant to be seen after voting has finished.

I suppose that we will find out eventually!! :)

Jeszik, I can get my head around comments during voting..I think thats a positive for more learning and feedback but Im not sure about during submission. Thats just my initial reaction but maybe that will change.

I understand hosts wanting to make comments...and Im not worried about it affecting voting.

I like to make comments too, but usually they are congratulatory ones as I dont have the level of experience or skill to offer others.

I wouldnt like to see those type of comments( which are few anyway) disappear because noone comments after voting.
