How do I find out the number of actuations on my D90, I see people selling the camera state that I have taken XXX shots/acutations

You can get Opanda IExif. The free version only reads from JPG so if you shoot RAW, you will have to convert one to JPG and open it.

I set my D90 to not re-set the file numbers after I download. Unfortunately, this only works to 9999.
