Which one better

In color looks better to my eyes. Their coats are very vibrant and adds character to the image, and also tells the story a bit better. The expression on the little guy in the background pops out a bit more in color to me as well. Nice shot.

I am not a portrait expert,but as an observer this is what I like to see:
children -> color
middle aged -> B&W
old people -> sepia
so, first one for me :)

the first one in my opinion. The color makes the viewer focus on the children. I like the bold bright red color on the white background. not a professional, but seeing it in the eyes of a viewer. nice picture by the way, good job! :)

I can see what others have said about the girls's face in the sepia, but for me the colour photo tells the more complete story. eg. A little girl wearing "pretty" colours - probably of her own choosing - despite the cold, rather than being dressed in boring practical clothes by her mother.

I like the 1st one.
The colours are soft and natural.

The contrast between the 2 complementary colours help to separate the 2 children a lot better than the BW version.
Very nice photo BTW.

Have fun,
M

The problem I have with the colored photo is my eyes keep circling back to the little girls red jacket. Assuming that the little girl is the subject in this photograph, I like the sepia version since my eyes always circle back to her eyes.

Thanks for answers.Personally i like second more.It isn´t actually sepia, it´s more brown toned.With B&W conversion i manage pop up my daughter´s eyes more and it´s sharper than coloured version....i think.But hey , everybody has own taste and it´s good.

Like the second one better as well. The first comes across as more 'blown'. I think that was your intention, but the it gets distracting in the hat, I couldn't see where it ends... In the second one ths isless obvious.
