Excellent gallery Andrew. Nice color, light and composition. Thanks for sharing.

Coooool!

nice

Wow! I have to admit: at first sight it was a shock. But when you grow accustomed to it, it is wonderful.

Great pictures! Where in Cal is this?
I wanted to invite you to my new California Spring gallery:

http://www.lightandpictures.com/Spring_2010/

all taken with the Zeiss ZE lenses - mostly 100MP and 35ZE.
Be careful if you don't like rich, vibrant colors, it's quite exceptional
this year here after some heavy rainfall we've had so far...

However, I don't live in Cal. So I was wondering what altitude and roughly where in the state it was -- like near LA or near SF, etc. Not that I was planning on going there right away. But the photos are just gorgeous. I will have to enjoy them through your lens and imagine. :)

Amazing right now, next week might be too late.

Wonderful shots. Curious - how much PP are we seeing in these photos?

When you can't focus, nothing else matters
Once you can, everything else does.

Very nice. I like your processing. I also am not afraid of a little color.
If you don't already use Topaz Adjust you'd probably like it.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent series of pictures!

Now I can see what they call the Zeiss "3D" effect. It only appears on the right hand. Very well done!

How do you find manual focusing on 5DII, particularly with the ZE100? Out of 10 wide-open captures, do you think the in focus rate can be like 70%. Thanks. I have been thinking about this lens for sometime, but someone suggested that 100L IS is probably a better lens in usability with no compromises in IQ. I checkout Flickr on 100L, I havn't really see any photo has IQ comes close to you photos. The color are so rich in yours while the 100L's in Flickr have strong color but is kind of dry not so rich. Forgive me for my poor english not sure if you understand my description.

I find it quite easy. With 21 and 35 my "success" rate is close to 100%,
with 100MP it's probably 75-80%. The 100 is a macro lens and the focus is
very long and precise, that's why it requires precision :)
But it's a pleasure to work with.

Snowboarder,

have you tried using extension tubes on 100/2 to get close to 1:1 magnification? If yes, what was your impression of it?
