Hi Francis,

I do like to fine translucent of th efirst, but do admire the fine framing of the third, popping out of the frame, I just hate.

The third makes it all right, very fine and delicate portrait,

jacques.

BTW this forum still feels like falling a sleep, don't you think ? As seroes as always should draw some attention, even the one I don't like as it still is a real fine seeking of new expressions.

Hello Francis,

Well done for the first one, I like the colors, light and sharpness of the leaves.
I like also the model expression on the 3rd one and background effect.

regards,
Arnaud

For once, I have to agree with you 100% ...My favourite is the third one, of course : I shot the lady yesterday, from a distance, using a 200mm lens...Her hair was so beautiful in the sun, I wish I could have come closer for a real portrait..

Autumn leaves shot again the sun are always pleasant to watch , with the light filtering through, revealing their extraordinary texture that is now starting to decay, as the end of the year comes closer.

Pop-outs are used for illustration.. They are not meant to be photo art by any means. I got the idea of this one after reading yesterday's post from Sheila about the fun they had at shutterfreaks playing with these. BTW, They are very good exercises for PS practice.

Yes, Jacques, it looks like the best contributors have gone to Fred's site, shutterfreaks or photo.net where they can have their own gallery presented. PHoto.net is the place where the best photographers submit their photos for critique and notation. It's the best site I have found for inspiration.
You may have a look at their galleries here :

Thanks Arnaud,
My favourites too...

It looks like the pop out shots are not very popular here ( Jacques hates them ).

The one thing I liked about this particular one is the rich orange background behind the 3 flowers..
Best...

Hello Francis,

Excellent light and very well used. Good work, as we expect from you.

hugh
Thanks Hugh,

We seem to be having a beautiful Indian Summer right over Europe, and it looks like this nice weather will go on for a while. I think I will head South to Corsica to enjoy this exceptional sun.

best regards

As usual, beautiful pictures and good composition. I enjoy very much your galleries where I can find a little bit of my country (France - Paris and the country).

I see your new D60 at work and I was curious about the lenses you use most. I am ready to do the jump to the D60, just need to decide on some lenses (16-35L...).

Anyway, on this post I prefer the third picture.

I am sure you're gonna love South Corsica.

Today's weather may be somewhat different in your part of the world, but an Indian Summer only takes place AFTER a first frost. October 1st and in Ontario, Canada, we expect temperatures 10C degrees higher than normal and still no sign of frost.
