Here are 3 shots of a Coopers Hawk that came by with food, it only stayed for a short time but i managed these 3 shots. Taken with the Tamron 300mm F2.8 and Pentax 1.7x AFA.

More shots from Persqu'ile Park here

It's amazing what one can do when one doesn't know what one is doing :)

Great shots as usual. That's a pretty menacing looking hawk. Very cool. And I don't think it's too "graphic". As Jack mentioned, nature isn't always pretty. No more graphic than a cat and mouse:

Warning, not so squemish, I think those model types eating sushi are much more troubling to behold!!

That is some nice work there, you certainly getting some good use out of the Tamron, quite intense blue sky, colors are very vibrant, such strong light, these image literally burn a hole in my monitor and brand themselves into my brain, Snap crackle POP!

Changing light gives me the possibility of seeing the world from a new
perspective.
For me photography is a tool for capturing these insights, for reflection and
sharing.

I do have to agree on that, in spite of my earlier comments - better safe than sorry.

You're right Sanmat, but i figured the warning wouldn't get me into trouble by those who have a weak stomach

Nature in blood and talon. Great capture. We live next to a canyon and put out bird seed, the Cooper's quickly figured out that there was smorgasbord close by.

Great photos but the tamron lens has quite alot of purple fringing.
