Has anyone found a way to trigger the 7D at 3 or 8 fps using the remote control RC-1?
The 7D manual doesn't really make it clear whether this is or isn't possible.
Thanks a lot for your help.

I have both and it is not possible.

You will need to use either a wired remote or a third party piece of equipment if you need continuous shooting modes. Using the RC-1 remote does not allow you to select the continuous shooting modes.

I don't think you can do it, but If you really need to do it. I am wondering if you can cheat, by setting your camera for Auto Exposure Bracketing but with the smallest different and set your camera on high speed continuous shooting then used your RC1 to trigger the camera. If it work then you can at least shoot 3 frame then correct the exposure in PP.

Thanks a lot for your replies, everyone.
I thought I'd overlooked something.
So I'll have to hold on to my third-party thingy after all.

FWIW, this does seem a bizarre design decision. RC-1 is a wireless remote but it doesn't have the same (or all of the) functionality as a wireless version of a wired remote. Makes me wonder: why not?
Anyway.

I don't think it has as much to do with the RC-1 as it does with the way you have to have the camera set up to accept the signal from the RC-1.
