Hi all I recently got an offer to buy an Nikon d3 for a price i could not refuse and since I have no idea where Sony is heading I decided to bite the bullet and buy into the Nikon system so I am afraid to say Sony will be getting no more money from me.

I have decided to keep my A700 Minolta 300F4 and CZ24-70 but have sold off my other lenses and am fully concentrating in building my Nikon gear.

I have enjoyed reading this forum over the years and have learned a lot even though it has gone down hill lately IMHO and i do not really participate any more.

So all that being said I thought I might post one more series of shots I took the other day with my A700 and Minolta 300F4 at an Air show I attended as a final fair well to all.
Thank you to all who have assisted me over the years hear at DPR.

Very nice photos in composition and exposure. I love the Spit and Mustang shots especially as they were two of my father's fav's from WWII. Thanks for posting & bringing back special memories!!!

You got some really excellent images, Scott! I've flown the F-86 and the T-28 so these bring back some nice memories.

Good luck with the new gear and don't forget to stop by every once-in-awhile.

Take the scenic route! Life is too short to do otherwise.

Very nice, crisp shots. The 300/4 is a helluva lens on any camera :). Enjoy your Nikon gear!

Pat,

That is one of the best series of an air show I have seen in a long time!!! Great job. My last occassion was in Punta Gorda Florida, w/F828 can you believe that. We don't have anything close...

That is why I can not bring myself to sell it and who knows what Sony will do in the feature that might bring out that killer camera that everyone dreams about then i will still be ready.

You are too kind Ron. I have also enjoyed your shots over the years I know you are not one to get to heavily involved in the full on tech talk a bit like myself. You seem to always give the forum a bit of balance with your fantastic shots that you share with us Ron.
All the best to you.
