Why can't they put some sample pictures in their website (LS443 & others) like other brands?

Anybody knows? Probably not.

Mark LV- I think this guy was looking for SAMPLE PHOTOS, and not just the link to the Kodak camera site w/specs, etc., but no samples.

I guess we'll have to wait for someone in the Far East to buy the camera and post some pics.
They've posted a full specification here:

I think YOU are retarded! The LS443 IS on their website!!
That's really nice of you. Did you READ what I said? I am looking for pictures taken with the camera, not pictures of the camera itself. I already have seen their website many times.

Well, unless I am very much mistaken, YOU started calling people retarded! Anyway, your posting didn't make this clear.

The photos will come, I'm sure. For goodness' sake this is a brand new camera!

You are, sorry!

I called in an IF fashion Kodak, the corporation, possibly retarded. I didn't call ANYONE retarded. Please point out your evidence if you have noticed otherwise.

Yes, a camera that is apparently selling in Hong Kong already, and which Kodak has posted all sorts of pictures, flash presentations/navigation but no sample of pictures it can take . Moreover, Kodak doesn't seem to have photo samples of other cameras that have been out for months in their website! (where are sample pics of the LS420- photos it can take in the Kodak website??)

Raist, I agree! When I was researching the 4330 I couldn't find sample photos on their US or Australian site either and it was really frustrating, I looked everywhere trying to find sample pics. I mean how hard is it for them to take a few pics and upload them? Take them minutes. Pretty poor effort I think when they are expecting people to buy their new cams. I ended up buying and taking the risk without seeing sample photos but I am more and more pleased each day with my purchase.

PS I understood the question.

Mark, one would think it not unreasonable that as part of the release of any camera sample photos would be a prerequisit. Brand new camera or not is no excuse, in fact even more reason why they should have the sample shots on their site. After all ... sample shots ARE what the camera IS. It's the be all and end all of any digitial camera I'm sure most people will agree and without a final result how on earth can they expect people to purchase. It's not like they have to invent some wizz bang technology or anything, just take a few snaps and upload them.

Just my 2 cents.

Exactly! You just also mentioned something very important: you wasted your time looking at Kodak's website for the photo-samples that did not exist. This is why I wrote the title: at the time I was also peeved that I wasted my time using the search and clicking here and there, yet, no samples. That sure is frustrating!

I visited CompUSA yesterday and looked at the cam. Much larger than I had thought. I actually find it a bit large compared to the Minolta Xi and the Canon S200. Not knocking the camera, I just hoped it would be small.

It is definitively larger. The depth of the camera gave me the hint. I think the camera starts competing vs the S40 at its size. What's the compusa price on the camera?

They had 4 in stock at $499.99 and in the case. The guy didn't know he had them, until I pointed it out. None on display. He said that they have way more cameras than area for display.

Perhaps you meant the new 4MP 3X Zoom LS443, not the 3MP 3X Zoom DX4330. The 4MP LS443 is new at CompUSA. It is about the same size as Canon S30/40/45. About the same width, perhaps the LS443 is just a little bit taller but thinner. Overall, it is very close to S30/40/45 in size.
