I post this in a new thread, because it could get lost in the original (large) thread:

Maybe its just me but if you read his last paragraph:

'I thought about posting some pictures but honestly, I would probably get it so much sh*t for posting pics from a pre-production sample PRIOR to Tokyo releasing their sample prints...I hoped everyone can understand that.

Hope I helped some.

Paul '

Is he suggesting that it would be OK for him post Pre-production samples After Fuji
releases 'their sample prints' and not before Fuji releases them?

Paul has either miss-typed or is not aware of the reasons why Fuji or any other company usually never permits pre-production images to be posted on the web.

Hopefully he will clarify his statement.

I thought the Fuji guys already had pre-production samples or the camera itself. Where was he during the PMA show considering he was the marketing director of Fujifilm Canada? Odd.

The Marketing Director of Fuji Canada has such poor grammar and spelling skills?

(Picture a little smiley face here rolling its eyes ...)

Yes...for those people that commented in this thread...I am the Marketing Manager for Digital Cameras here in Canada..google me I'll show up. I did not attend PMA as it is mostly a Sales function...most vendors are also limiting their staff.

People in the other discussion asked me to post some sample shots from the pre-production HS10 sample...I was explaining to them that this was not possible.

(Nikonworks) see your name here again...of course I am aware why vendors don't post pre-production photos...remember I work for Fujifilm? Oh yeah...you don't believe that...

Already answered on PMA...the Fuji Guys were actually using a mock-up of an HS10 that did not work...hence the reason why the second round of videos has not been shot yet.

Research? Can you tell me where you work and what sources you used? You missed have the senior people in Marketing?

no good dead goes unpunished!

thanks for braving the fuji forum to try to enlighten us. I hope some of the responses were of use to you.

Would appreciate your first impressions of HS 10 "low light" auto focus "operation" (speed, accuracy, etc.). Thanks from "the Ozarks", USA!

First let me say that I am taking the neutral stance here.

That being said, Paul if you are true to your words then I (and many here) thank you for your consideration to post here in FTF for your insights and resources to answer our questions. An "insider" is always appreciated.

Now please don't take hard offense on other people's responses as they also have a reason to contest someone's credibility here. This is an internet forum afterall and anyone can assume and posses any name or character they wish. So credibility is almost always questioned here.

In your case, a simple (fuji) branded email may do provided that you can respond to it. This can be a temporary email set for forum purposes so that your official email doesn't get bombarded. Providing that will at least give you real credibility of who you are.

In fairness, Paul Woodall is the marketing manager of the Digital Cameras Division of Fujifilm Canada. Confusion solved. Apologies to Paul Woodall.

I did not get a lot of time to test low light shots...I did shoot some and was satisified but can't comment how it compares to S200 at this time. Zooming was fast and reliable so was very pleased about that.

A lot of upper management types are drooling idiots. I think his poor grammar and spelling clinches the fact that he's the real deal.

In all sincerity though, he probably shouldn't be posting in forums. He's not exactly doing Fuji any favors by doing it.

Paul have you seen these? I still don't know what to think ISO 100 looks like it has to much noise for ISO 100.

Hello Paul,

Glad you took notice of my name but I respectfully suggest tht you also take notice of the content of my posts related to you, in which you will find civility.

There are many newbies on these forums and they are always in my mind when I post a thread or a reply. On the web nothing should automatically be assumed as valid.

In this thread I gave you room to clarify your statement that I quoted.

Not to put you on the defensive but to offer you a chance to correct a non-sensical statement of which I suggested was a 'miss-typing'.

Because some of your posts included some apparant miss-information,
or 'belated' information, you continue to foster a 'mystique' about you.

I am looking forward to getting my HS10.
Does this unique bridge camera fit your personal photography?

Cheers!

I thought we closed out this discussion but since yiou made this reply
it is evident you are missing a large part of the 'issue':

There seems to be some question as to If the forum poster going by the name of 'Paul Woodall' is indeed Paul Woodall.

End of issue.
