Hello, I have a client interested in having an image printed for display in the lobby of a building. The requested print size is 13 ft by 6 ft. Can anyone recommend a company than can provide such a huge print. It would also have to be very durable similar to a display at a museum. Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Probably a good idea to have it made in the same country as the building, or at lst on the same continent.

The few jobs Duggal ever did for me, they had bad quality....and never on time.

I had some 8x10 chromes drum scanned, the results were right-to-left
backward ! the idiots put the emulsion wrong side down on the drum !

It's not Duggal Pro Lab,
it's Duggal-we-will-pay-the-least-qualified-person-minimum-wage
Lab.....

Be sure to consider the TRANSPORTATION, handling and hanging issues.

Congrats...BTW.

If you would offer up some details, I would like to know who it was you spoke to and dealt with at Duggal?

Look for a local lab that has a Vutek and have them do the installation after they print it. Prints that size are sometimes printed on vinyl wallpaper.

Here's a 17x13 foot image Converse did from one of my photographs. I wrote the process up as an article on my web site:

You had to scan an 8"x10" print on a flatbed scanner for that? You had no negative to scan?

The Graphics of the Americas (GotA) trade show is in it's last day. This conference is dedicated to the print industry including digital printing presses and large format sign making. They have dozens large format inkjet printers on display spitting out canvas, vinyl, even foam core. Eight foot print widths are not unusual.

As you're not in Miami Beach, I doubt you will make it to the show. You may want to visit GotA's website ( http://www.graphicsoftheamericas.com/ ) for their exhibitor list. Contact the companies that make these large format printers and ask them if they have any customers close to you.
