"I'm traveling until early October. When I return to the office I'll mop up the remaining few details and "publish" the book."

So it sounds like mid to late October for this.

As we used to say in the music business, "close enough for jazz."

Those of you who have bought cameras officially imported by FujiUSA should send in your registration card...consider that a very strong hint...

It would imply that. I suspect there maybe a firmware upgrade need for the camera. I hope it reguards the tracking noise issue.

I'd like to thank Thom for sharing it with us, as we have shared with him for free my issues and pointers!!!!

I posted a quote from Thom about him "publishing" his book, and he came back hinting that we should send in our registration cards. To me it sounds like Fuji might send copies or give deals to those that send in their registration cards.

Obviously I can't talk about potential deals for which there is not yet a signed contract. But let me just clarify by saying that I know of no reason that anyone would need to send their S2s back to Fuji... (hey that would be a neat trick: everyone has to send their camera back in order to use my book ; )!

hi,
I understand by that, that his publisher probably wants to decide
on the basis of how many s2's are sold (registration cards received by fuji)
whether or not to publish the book
michel

....would be a ridiculous way of tracking sales. Fuji keeps that data. I know tons of people that don't send in registration cards because, in reality, your receipt is your warranty.

I registered on line that should be the equivalent of sending in the card or is there more of a benefit to sending in the card?
