Eagles pictures - my best

Hi,

Fantastic series. Nos 2 and 7 are a wonderful flight shots, in 4 he looks somewhat shocked (!) and the action series is just awesome (an overworked American word that is seldom justified, but in this case most certainly is).

Thanks for braving the cold for us to view in the warmth! I raise my glass to you.

Absolutly awesome shots. The only thing I saw wrong was dust spots in #'s 5 & 6.
I would love to have that 500mm!

Your photos are great!
Keep up the good work.

Those pictures are absolutely superb. Even though you must have stand still along with poor weather conditions, you got rewarded.

I am really much impressed by the sharpness and the focus quality of your pics. The D300 (and you of course) did an outstanding job.

The lens is 'massively' expensive, isn't it?

By the way, did you crop your pictures, or have these pictures just resized from the original ones?

Cheers from a frog...

Thank you for the kind comment

I paid $4100 for a used one. I hope it will keep the value. Buying a used pro lens is like an investment...

Most of the pictures are slightly cropped.

The fishing sequence is slightly cropped to make them at the center. The shots with wings down are full frames

Jemini - really awesome - especially the last sequence,
but all are great. I don't know how I missed this thread
the first time around!

I don't think that you mentioned anything about any
support - can you elaborate on that a little?

I'm off to Conowingo tomorrow - thanks for the
inspiration!!

Thanks for the nice comment

I've used Gitzo G1325 CF tripod and Wimberley (Version I). You need a gimbal head for flying shots. Good luck for your trip.
