1/24/2010 Weekly Landscape Show & Tell

You are right about the horizon. It was almost the first thing I noticed. It is a great scenery and you have a nice shot from it. Stopping down a bit would give it more details and dimension.

A beautiful winter scene. Love the detail and colors. Very well done image!!.

Where was this taken?

Dave

I agree, the color version works best for me. Great capture, we are seeing lots of snow from the southwest in the last couple of weeks, while I am snow free in Spokane Wa. Fine with me by the way, you can have all my snow:-)

I am seeing a bit of halo around the hoodoo.

Nice work Jonny. The second works best for me here. This sort of light is very difficiult and you have done a great job with it. I think I see a touch of flare in the first unless that is some sort of light on the cabin.

Very nice capture. At first I thought it had noise, then I realized it was snow texture. Nice detail and great light.

Great shots despite the harsh light. I like the two last ones best - nice details on the foreground.

thanks Ben. there is no flare in n°1. it's the reflection of the morning light on the wall of the house/cabin.

Thinks, it was not exactly like flare (wrong shape), so I had to ask. It did not influence my selection.

Definitely looks like northern country. What was temperature when picture was taken?

Dave

Thanks for posting that. I really liked the different, complementary colors going on there. Very serene.

I always love seeing those pictures. I lived in Germany for some years, and spent many a weekend skiing in Austria and Switzerland...I miss that scenery in particular more than anything else! Thanks for posting those.

Morning shots on an out going tide along Turnagain Arm, Anchorage, Alaska.

Wonderful shots and a spectacular scene! I used my TS-E 24 mm just the way you are for stitched images. Sold the original one and waiting DHL to bring the II version today or tomorrow. :)
