I like them a lot, but judging from #1 and #6 it seems your left leg is slightly shorter than your right ;).

They are all nice images, I am surprised to see such nice light in Europe for November.

My one suggestion would be, why not be brave though and take the camera off automatic and try taking your pictures to another level, they mostly could use some more selective DOF. In particular the photos of the boats, shooting at your widest aperture would IMHO help immensely.

The light as I said, is marvellous, a rarity here in Australia.

Hi ! I shoot a G 11: The pictures are sharp, but they're not really sharp; except the first the colors seem to be off !
Composition in each is fine !

Hi Bob

Well they are buoys that are stored prior to being used on a river

There is no doubt that G11 does a great job outdoor. It has absolutely beaten the living daylight out of just about every P&S out there. Your photos are super nice too.
Try the indoor... that is where I think Canon could do better with G11.

These are interesting subjects, and as others have said, the lighting is very nice, very interesting. Beyond that, we get into matters of personal taste. For my own taste, these images are far too color saturated (with the exception of #7), looking almost like HDR images - and they have too much midtone contrast.

I have to agree with ethe "taste" comment. The first shot is either overly sharpened or saturated giving it a cartoonish quality ( my taste).

The shots are all well framed and the subjects good but I'd tone them down a bit.

Tastes vary. On the dpr I have seen shots posted of Disneyland/world that are black and white. For the most part that makes no sense to me. The b+w shots of Disney almost scream out "color please!" but to each is own. I have a cousin who I can count on to send a Christmas card every year of her four children together at the beach. Every card has been b+w and all would have been better in color. I love b+w but sometimes it doesn't work.
You shots are really good. Enjoy the camera. You are off to a great start.
