i just got a new computer which is windows 7, and when i put the CD in for my printer (i905d canon) it says it is not compatible with windows 7.
any ideas what i can do?

thanks for the the link. i tried and downloaded it but the printer is still not working.
thanks for helping though :)

Here are several things to check.

1. Did you download the right version (32 bit or 64 bit)?

2. Did you go to the Printers and Faxes Panel and delete any references to this printer before trying to install again?
3. Did you find the FAQ here:

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=232&modelid=8719

with step by step instructions for downloading and installing the driver?
4. Did you install the driver before connecting the printer?

If all else fails, you can try Canon support.

thanks, i read all the info and stuff and still cant get it working. im not very good with computers when it comes to downloading stuff. im sure ill work it out if i keep trying :)
thanks for your help.

Go online....plug in your printer....Windows will find the driver and install it while you have a brewski.....At least it did on my new machine for both the IP3000, and the I560.....Good luck!!
