Is It fake?

Well, probably. The SR switch on the camera is on. The LCD shows the off icon.

The National Geographic button is a clue. :D

Well, probably.
Partly correct... I think it floated on the web earlier on

IIRC called a fake before..Anyways, if Pentax come with such a beat (too big for me) I doubbt they would use such a K10/K20D based design.... That is too old fashioned by now. Also the two top dials are too close together to be user friendly.

Nope, LCD shows on I think.

I just noticed the 2nd smaller dial is for "FPS" 8 to 60. Wow! that would surely quieten the nay sayers. :)

I don't know what part of the screen you're looking at but from my view, SR is set on and the screen shows that it is turned on.

Where is the Turbo button? The one that temporarily revs up the FPS to 120 before overheating ;)

Such a monster... What is this?
I am pretty sure it is fake. However, we know what came of the last "fake" lens.
  • the button reflections are wrong, especially the two up left of the viewfinder.
  • Why would we need a refocus button? and the text on said button doesn't look right
  • Who put iPhoto on the LCD? (the sliders are straight from iPhoto or Aperture)
  • the resolution around the grip doesn't look the same as the rest of the photo
  • there is a slight hue shift going from the body to the grip on the right side
  • Why do we need a knob to change the frame rate? Seems excessive when an "info" button press and selecting the right option would work.
  • it doesn't seem to fit with Pentax's current design profile
Would I buy a pro Pentax body, K1 or something? sure if it is affordable. What I would rather see is a full frame version of the K-7 (same size).

Sure the National Geo button will automatically zoom, choose exposure, aperture, amount of HDR, colour saturation enhancements, ... based on a database full of AI rules to yield artistically pleasing results. We will all be made dummies by something like this camera one day.

It needs two more buttons:

A button to switch autofocus between SDM and shaft drive.

A button to correct softness caused by misaligned optical elements.
